U.S. firm Foley & Lardner has recruited Selig Sacks to co-chair its U.S.-China corporate practice and bolster the firm’s transactional and securities practice. Sacks will be based in Foley’s New York office.

Sacks joins the firm from Pryor Cashman, where he was the co-chair of its China practice and the head of it's corporate group.

A veteran lawyer and frequent speaker on China-U.S. business, Sacks  has advised clients across various industries including energy, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, green technology, consumer products, new media, real estate and infrastructure. He has assisted American companies in entering the China market, as well as Chinese companies seeking access to the U.S. capital markets.

He has defended U.S. publicly-traded China-based companies in class action lawsuits, SEC investigations and crisis management, and has represented private equity sponsors and investors.

“Selig is a highly regarded corporate and transactional attorney who brings more than 30 years of experience to the firm,” said Jay O. Rothman, the Chairman and CEO of Foley, in a statement. ALB
