· A consortium of investors to acquire a stake in Chinese e-commerce company Alibaba Group for $1.6 billion

· Consortium includes; US private equity firm Silver lake Technology Management, Digital Sky Technologies, Singapore’s Temasek and Yunfeng Capital

· Debevoise & Plimpton has long-standing relationship with Alibaba dating back to 2005 when Yahoo! bought a 40 percent stake in the company for $1 billion
