Ebsworth loses partners ahead of merger

Shortly after the official announcement of the merger, managing partner of Ebsworth & Ebsworth John Graves said in an interview with ALB that the planned union with Home Wilkinson Lowry (HWL) would include 'the whole firm in both firms'. But as it turns out, some partners have made plans of their own and Ebsworth is now faced with the departure of a number of its lawyers.

Sparke Helmore raids insurance practices

National law firm Sparke Helmore has raided Australian insurance practices, adding two partners, one senior-level consultant and four special counsel. The seven lawyers have all joined in the last two months, bringing the total numbers in the insurance team to 180 lawyers.
