UK firm Wragge & Co has officially launched an office in Guangzhou. It is the first UK firm with a representative office in the city and the fourth international firm there. The firm first entered Guangzhou in 2007 by sharing offices with French firm Lefèvre Pelletier & associés.
There is no resident partner in Wragge's Guangzhou office, but partners Christopher Hughes, head of international, and Gordon Harris, head of the firm's Far East operations, will work in Guangzhou when required. The Guangzhou office will work closely with the firm's Hong Kong office, which is headed by partner James Ng.
The other three international firms with representative offices in Guangzhou are DS Law Firm and Lefèvre Pelletier & associés from France, and US firm Frederick W Hong Law Offices.
