Brattle Group adds head of Greater China practice
U.S. consulting agency The Brattle Group has hired Dr. Vanessa Yanhua Zhang, an economist, as a principal and the leader of a new Greater China practice in its New York office from the Chicago-headquartered consulting firm Global Economics Group, where Zhang was a managing director and the head of the Greater China practice.
Zhang has extensive experience in applying economic analysis to competition, industrial organization, and intellectual property issues for a global client base across numerous industries. She has analysed allegations of monopolization, foreclosure practices, vertical restraints, merger analysis, FRAND, and intellectual property in a wide range of matters involving clients in industries including high tech, telecom, consumer products, transportation, and pharma.
Established in 1990, the Boston-headquartered Brattle Group provides consulting services in economics, finance, and regulation to corporations, law firms, and public agencies. Brattle’s president and principal David L. Sunding says in a statement: “Vanessa’s deep understanding of the complex issues our clients are facing in China, the U.S., and the EU will allow us to expand our existing relationships and build new ones with clients and key opinion leaders in these markets. Her joining reflects the true global reach of our competition practice.”
