Merits & Tree strengthens Shenzhen arm by adding managing partner
Merits & Tree Law Offices has recently hired Zhong Kaiwen specializing in banking and finance practice as the managing partner to lead its Shenzhen office.
Zhong’s practice mainly focuses on banking and finance (including asset management, insurance fund investment, etc), funds, M&A, as well as dispute resolutions in mentioned areas. His current clients include banking and financial institutions like financial supervision authorities, state-owned banks and joint-stock commercial banks; non-banking and finance institutions like trust companies, bank wealth management subsidiaries, public offering fund companies and their subsidiaries, insurance companies and insurance asset management companies, financial asset management companies and local asset management companies; large state-owned enterprises, high-tech companies, large real-estate and infrastructure developers.
According to a statement by Merits & Tree, the Shenzhen office has been one of the set strategic focuses of the firm’s first five-year planning. Zhong joins as the firm marks its fourth anniversary of establishment. He will lead the management and development of Shenzhen office, with emphasis on the setting and implementation of the firm’s strategies in Greater Bay Area and Hainan Free Trade Port.
