Global hires six partners in 2020H1
Global Law Office has hired six partners in Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen for the first half of 2020.
Ruby Shao joined the firm in Beijing from Gaorong Capital. She specializes in private equity investment fund, M&A, tax and capital markets, and is familiar with various industries such as consumer goods, real estate, education, high technology, energy, Internet, telecommunications, manufacturing, media, infrastructure, pharmaceuticals and healthcare.
In Shanghai, the firm has hired Michael Chen, Catherine Song and Tim Liu.
Chen and Song joined from Zhong Lun Law Firm and Baker McKenzie FenXun (FTZ) Joint Operation, respectively, with Chen focusing on transportation industry, private equity investment fund, M&A, entertainment and sport, and capital markets, and Song specializing in real estate, logistics and warehousing, cross border acquisitions, foreign direct investment, and banking and finance.
Meanwhile Liu joined from Beijing DHH Law Firm. He focuses on cross-border legal practices and works on the matters such as cross border litigation, as well as international commercial arbitration and mediation.
Eric Chen and Zhang Yang joined Global’s Shenzhen office from JunZeJun Law Firm and AllBright Law Offices, respectively. Eric Chen specializes in M&A, PE/VC, bankruptcy and restructuring, litigation and arbitration, with special expertise with areas of finance, real estate, internet, biomedicine, environmental protection and technology industries, meanwhile Zhang works in areas of private equity investment fund, finance and banking, insurance fund utilization, and M&A.
