Kirkland & Ellis has appointed Wanda Woo as corporate partner in Hong Kong from Shearman & Sterling, where she was an associate.

Woo’s experience lies in corporate law, legal advice, regulatory requirements, regulatory compliance, and mergers and acquisitions. She specialises in advising on equity and debt capital markets transactions including initial public offerings, share placings, rights offerings, bond offerings and other corporate compliance work associated with The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited.

Prior to working at Shearman, Woo was with Linklaters. She joined the firm as a paralegal, and climbed the ranks to become a trainee and then an associate.

Woo is Kirkland’s second corporate partner hire in recent weeks. Earlier, Ram Narayan joined the firm from Sullivan & Cromwell.
