达维律师事务所及荷兰诺达律师事务所近日助力由腾讯牵头的财团对全球最大唱片公司环球音乐10% 股权进行收购，此次收购对该音乐厂牌估值300亿欧元（约340亿美元），收购额约为30亿欧元。这也是中国企业单次投资欧洲重要媒体业务最大额交易之一。
根据路透社报道，腾讯音乐、新加坡政府投资公司及卡塔尔投资局都参与其中。交易预计于2020年上半年完成交割。
环球音乐隶属于法国维旺迪传媒集团，旗下拥有Lady Gaga、披头士乐队、泰勒·斯威夫特、麦当娜等艺人。路透补充说，交易将使腾讯触及更多美国艺人，同时帮助环球唱片迈入亚洲市场。未来腾讯音乐还将收购环球音乐大中华区的少数股份。
达维为此次交易组建了一支跨越北京、香港、伦敦、纽约、巴黎及华盛顿的团队，牵头律师为合伙人苏雯华和Jacques Naquet-Radiguet；诺达团队参与合伙人包括David Viëtor、Sybren de Beurs、Lieke van der Velden以及Wijnand Bossenbroek。
Davis, NautaDutilh act on Tencent’s $3.4 bln purchase of stake in Universal Music
Davis Polk & Wardwell and Dutch law firm NautaDutilh have advised a Tencent-led consortium of a 10% equity stake in Universal Music Group from its parent company, Vivendi S.A., valuing the music label that houses Lady Gaga and The Beatles at 30 billion euros ($34 billion).
According to Reuters, the deal marks one of the biggest investments by a Chinese company into a major European media business at a time, involving at the same time Tencent Music, Singapore’s state investment firm GIC and Qatar Investment Authority. It is expected to close by the first half of 2020.
The deal allows both companies to expand in a recovering global music market, giving Tencent more access to U.S. artists while UMG can tap into the Asian market, Reuters added.
Davis Polk formed a team across Beijing, Hong Kong, London, New York, Paris and Washington DC for the deal, led by partners Miranda So and Jacques Naquet-Radiguet, while the NautaDutilh team led by partners David Viëtor, Sybren de Beurs, Lieke van der Velden and Wijnand Bossenbroek.
