Biography
Ron Ma worked for CRRC Corporation Limited and Foxconn Technology Group successively with 5 years of experience as an equipment R&D engineer. With a deep understanding of structural products and design, he has specialized in patent litigation and non-litigation for more than 10 years. In a series of cases where the defendant was sued, Ron Ma helped defendant win lawsuits through professional technical analysis and effective coping strategies. In the cases in which the defendant was sued the second time after losing the court case for the first time, Ron Ma helped defendant succeed in the second response to the lawsuit through professional team cooperation and elaborate litigation strategies. In addition to being proficient in patent litigation, he has also been involved in patent non-litigation business, including providing clients with legal counsel services on intellectual property projects, helping clients with patent analysis, mining and layout, as well as review the patent infringement risk of newly launched products and provide countermeasures.
Notable Matters
1. In the case of Shenzhen Teana VS Shenzhen Tuobu Utility Model Patent Rights Protection, Ron Ma acted for the plaintiff to win the lawsuit with 4.6 million compensation.
2. Ron Ma helped Chinese enterprises successfully answer the Invention Patent Lawsuit filed by American Chip Company. This instance was ranked as 2019 Top 10 Intellectual Property Cases by Shenzhen lawyers. In this case, the American chip giant filed a patent infringement lawsuit against the domestic chip packaging companies and claimed RMB 12 million for compensation. The first-instance judgment found that the product did not infringe the chip invention patent involved in the lawsuit and rejected all the plaintiff's claims.
3. Ron Ma acted for the defendant to answer the lawsuit with plaintiff's claim of nearly 30 million. Finally the court rejected all the plaintiff's claims. At the same time, Ron helped the defendant sue the plaintiff for patent infringement in another case, and the court upheld the defendant's claims in full.
