Established in the early 1990s, Tiantai is one of the earliest established large scale law firms in China. Tiantai is an influential firm in the sector and has built a good reputation in business. It has been named “Excellent National Law Firm" by the All China Lawyers Association and "Excellent Beijing Law Firm" by the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Justice and Beijing Lawyers Association for several years in succession.

Tiantai has a highly skilled team of lawyers with more than 800 practicing lawyers. All of them are from the law schools at prestigious universities at home and abroad. Many of them have a doctor’s or master's degree of law, some of them have the title of professor or associate professor, and some have studied in the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada or Australia.
