Chinese law firm Guo & Partners has struck a long-term partner cooperation agreement with prominent Pakistan-based law firm  Rizvi, Isa, Afridi & Angell (RIAALAW).

RIAALAW, which was founded in 1989, is one of the largest law firms in Pakistan. It is noted for its strengths in building and construction, projects and natural resources. In addition to its three offices in Pakistan (Karachi, Islamabad and Lahore), the firm also has an office in Afghanistan (Kabul) and representative offices in London and China (Guangzhou). The firm's alliance with Gulf heavyweight Afridi & Angell means it also boasts a presence in the UAE (Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah).

The two firms believe that the agreement will promote cooperation in Sino-Pakistani and Sino-Arabian legal affairs in addition to enabling both firms to broaden their service offerings and geographical footprint.

Guo & Partners' alliance with RIAALAW marks the seventh time that the firm has sought to use such a model to expand its global presence. Details of the firm's other international alliances are below.
