ASEAN Plus Group (APG), the Asian legal network spearheaded by Singapore’s RHTLaw Taylor Wessing, has added the PRC’s Grandall Law Firm as a member.

Following the addition of Grandall, APG offers now clients access to 3,000 lawyers. Members of the group have offices in Singapore, Vietnam, Hong Kong, China, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, South Korea, Taiwan, and Thailand.

Grandall Law Firm, which is well known for its capital markets work, has some 1,600 lawyers in 28 offices in China and beyond, including branches in Paris, Madrid, Silicon Valley and Stockholm. A lot of the firm’s recent work involves advising Chinese companies in the One Belt, One Road (OBOR) initiative. Grandall counts Chinese state-owned enterprises, commercial banks, securities companies, trust and insurance companies and fund companies as clients.

At an OBOR forum in Chengdu last year, Grandall and RHTLaw were among a number of law firms across jurisdictions that signed a cooperation charter.
