Hui Ye strengthens Beijing arm by merging boutique firm High Law
Hui Ye Law Firm has merged Beijing High Law Partners into its Beijing office, which appointed Mr. John Wang, previously High Law’s director, as the new office director.
Established in 1999, Shanghai-headquartered Hui Ye is a comprehensive law firm with expertise in commercial legal services. With 29 domestic and foreign branches in major cities including Beijing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Nanjing, Chengdu, Wuhan, Xi’an, Qingdao, Hong Kong and Los Angeles, Hui Ye’s practice areas include corporate and M&A, banking and insurance, intellectual property, labour and human resources, bankruptcy liquidation and dispute resolution. In 2020, Hui Ye ranked the 15th in ALB China 50 Largest Domestic Firms, and was enrolled in Tier 3 in Patent and Copyright Trademark categories in ALB China IP Ranking.
Established in 2015, High Law is a Beijing-headquartered boutique firm with expertise in IP, foreign representative, litigation and arbitration. Following the merge, Mr. John Wang, previously High Law’s director, became Hui Ye’s senior partner and Beijing office’s director, while Mr. Sanshi Zhang and Mr. David Li, lawyers from High Law, became Hui Ye’s senior partner and partner, respectively.
Mr. Gordon Yang, Head of Hui Ye’s Management Committee, says in a press release: “The merge shows a smooth combination of the two firms regarding talents and culture.
