美国佳利律师事务所近日迎来方炜律师以顾问身份加盟其北京办公室。方律师在2015至2021年期间曾于佳利北京办公室工作，并于2019年晋升为资深律师。他于2021年离任，前往方达律师事务所出任合伙人，此番则再次回归佳利就职。

方炜律师是公司并购和私募股权领域专家，执业十余年来，曾为众多知名私募股权基金、主权基金、金融机构、跨国公司等提供多个行业的并购、少数股权投资、企业合资和证券发行等专业法律服务。他服务过的主要客户名单中不乏TPG、淡马锡、高盛、摩根斯坦利、阿里巴巴、蚂蚁集团、字节跳动等知名机构身影。

伴随方律师的回归，根据佳利官网，其北京办公室现有1名合伙人、2名顾问。其中合伙人萧婉婷律师同样专注于并购、私募股权等业务；顾问Huang Cunzhen律师则专注于反垄断相关业务。

Cleary welcomes back PE expert in Beijing

New York-headquartered law firm Cleary Gottlieb has recently hired Fang Wei as counsel in its Beijing office. Fang joined from Fangda, where he was a partner.

Fang had been with Cleary back from 2015 to 2021 and he was promoted to senior attorney in 2019. However, he left the firm to join Fangda in 2021, but decided to return to his previous firm after two years.

Fang is an expert in the field of corporate mergers and acquisitions and private equity. With over ten years of practice, he has provided legal services in various industries, including M&As, minority equity investments, joint ventures, and securities offerings, to numerous well-known private equity funds, sovereign funds, financial institutions, multinational corporations, and more. His list of major clients includes prominent institutions such as TPG, Temasek, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Alibaba, Ant Group, ByteDance, and others.

With Fang’s return, according to Cleary's website, its Beijing office currently has one partner and two counsels. Among them, partner Denise Shiu also specializes in M&As and private equity, while counsel Huang Cunzhen focuses on antitrust-related matters.
