伟凯律师事务所近日迎来并购专家鲍琛律师以合伙人身份加盟其北京办公室。这是该所今年在香港聘用合伙人John Cahill律师以来，在大中华地区吸纳的又一位合伙人级别律师。

鲍律师专注于并购、资本市场以及公司事务领域，并在医疗大健康、制药、医疗器械、金融机构、私募股权、技术和能源等领域拥有丰富的行业经验。加入伟凯之前，鲍律师曾在美迈斯律师事务所工作。

伟凯全球并购业务负责人John Reiss在一份新闻稿当中表示：“我们注意到客户对中国境内外跨境并购交易的需求持续增多，特别是中东投资者对中国和整个亚太地区的兴趣不断增加。鲍琛律师经验丰富，他的到来将进一步增强我们在中国的业务实力。”

据悉，伟凯北京办公室目前共有11名专业人员，其中包括5名合伙人。

White & Case makes M&A hire in Beijing

White & Case has recently added Mergers & Acquisitions expert Alan Bao as a partner in its Beijing office from O'Melveny & Myers.

Bao becomes White & Case’s second lateral partner hire in the Greater China area this year, after the firm has added partner John Cahill in Hong Kong.

Bao advises corporates, buyer consortiums, and financial institutions on M&A, capital markets, and other general corporate matters. He has broad sector experience, including financial institutions, private equity, technology, pharmaceuticals healthcare, and energy. 

"We continue to see clients needing cross-border M&A advice in and out of China. Specifically, we have witnessed increased interest in China, and Asia-Pacific generally, from our Middle East investor clients. We further expand it with on-the-ground corporate capabilities in Beijing through the addition of experienced M&A partner Alan Bao," said John Reiss, partner, head of the global M&A practice of White & Case.

White & Case now has 11 legal professionals in Beijing, including 5 partners.
