A&O adds corporate practice expert in HK from White & Case
Allen & Overy has hired Tess Fang as corporate partner in Hong Kong, from U.S. firm White & Case’s Hong Kong office, where she was a local partner.
Fang’s practice focuses on cross-border M&A and private equity transactions, advising on cross border transactions, including mergers and acquisitions and divestures, private equity transactions and joint ventures across numerous sectors in China.
“Tess’s hire is part of our continued investment in growing our China related business. She brings added diversity to our corporate offering with her ability to act on Hong Kong and U.S. law matters, onshore PRC transactions as well as work with the full range of clients.” Victor Ho, A&O’s Beijing and Shanghai managing partner commented in one press release.
A&O has made several major hires in its China-related sectors in the past few months. The firm hired Eugene Chen in its litigation & investigations group in last December. In last August, David Lam and Ian Chapman joined as head of the China Desk (Australia) and co-head of Asian restructuring practice, respectively.
