在加盟计划宣布后一年，由创始合伙人范富龙带领的瑞士法隆律师事务所香港团队正式加入金杜香港办公室，范富龙律师成为金杜合伙人。他将是中国律所中第一位瑞士律师合伙人，金杜去年与香港律所夏佳理方和吴正和律师事务所的合并，使范富龙成为金杜香港合伙人成为可能。
范律师赴金杜任职将令双方获益。他表示：“如果律所有意进入全新市场，但对该市场的了解和业务渠道有限，与拥有必要的专业实力和雄厚资源的另一方合作是最佳方式。”范律师可充分利用金杜在整个国内市场的坚实业务平台，更好的协助跨国客户在中国投资。而金杜可从他带来的欧洲和中东资源和业务中获益。
A year after the first announcement, the team of SG Fafalen & Co Hong Kong (a Swiss and international practice) led by founder and managing partner Serge Fafalen has finally completed the transition process and officially become part of King & Wood's Hong Kong office.
Among all members moved to King & Wood, Fafalen is the only partner appointment. He is a practising Swiss lawyer and Hong Kong and England & Wales solicitor. He becomes the first Swiss law partner in a PRC law firm, and the move was made possible by the full merger between King & Wood and Hong Kong firm Arculli Fong & Ng last June.
Commenting on his move, Fafalen told ALB China previously that the best way for a firm to gain access to a new market, which it has little knowledge of and few contacts in, is to join forces with someone who has the knowledge, expertise and resources it needs to penetrate the market.
Fafalen will leverage King & Wood's solid platform across China to better assist his international clients to invest in China, while King & Wood will benefit from the new resources and contacts in Europe and the Middle East that Fafalen brings.
All activities, client relations and current staff of SG Fafalen & Co Hong Kong have been transferred to King & Wood in Hong Kong, effective 1 April 2010. SG Fafalen Geneva (Switzerland) will remain an independent Swiss legal practice, but it will no longer offer its services to the public.
