Addleshaw Goddard has hired equity capital markets lawyer Daniel Wan from Jun He Law Offices as a partner in Hong Kong.
Wan advises clients on M&A, restructurings, corporate finance, IPOs, and regulatory and compliance matters.
Wan joins with two associates – Simon Wong and Yen Yum – who will work closely with corporate partner Brett Stewien.
Addleshaw’s associated local law firm, Stewien & Co, recently changed its name to Francis & Co following the arrival of litigation partner Nigel Francis from Minter Ellison.
The Hong Kong office, which was approved to open in May, is headed by managing partner Andrew Carpenter and international arbitration and litigation partner Jonathan Tattersall.
The firm also opened an office in Qatar in May, and sealed an alliance with Japanese law firm Hashidate Law Office in June.
