Baker & McKenzie has rehired veteran lawyer Lance Chen as the head of its U.S. Security Practice Group in Hong Kong and China.
Chen left ICBC International Capital Limited to rejoin the firm, where he worked from 2000 to 2004 before moving to JP Morgan.
“We are delighted to have Lance rejoin the firm,” said Paul Tan, managing partner of Baker & McKenzie's Hong Kong, China and Vietnam offices, in a statement. “His wealth of experience in international securities offering and cross border M&A further strengthens our ability to assist our Chinese clients with their global aspirations.”
Chen has over 20 years of experience assisting Chinese and international companies on capital markets transactions, M&A deals, and corporate restructuring. He particularly focuses on listings and initial public offerings in addition to secondary fund raising transactions including share placement, rights issue, and bond issues.
