Clifford Chance has promoted Matthew Buchanan, Melissa Ng and Jiahua Ni to its partnership in Asia.
While project finance expert Buchanan and corporate lawyer Ng are based in the firm’s Singapore office, banking and finance specialist Ni is in Shanghai.
Following the promotions, Clifford Chance now counts 86 partners in the Asia-Pacific region, and 589 partners globally.
The firm hired maritime finance specialist Alastair MacAulay in Hong Kong in March this year, and relocated banking litigation expert Matthew Newick from London to Hong Kong in February.
