Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft has bolstered its Greater China practice with the hire of a number of lawyers from Latham & Watkins’ corporate practice in Hong Kong.
Michael Liu, formerly the managing partner of Latham & Watkins’ Hong Kong office and co-chair of the firm’s Greater China practice, has moved to Cadwalader along with partner Jane Ng and former senior associate Stephen Chan, who joins as a partner. Counsel Simon Berry, Olivia Wong, Terring Tang and Eva Tam have also moved to Cadwalader, as have a number of associates.
The team advises Hong Kong, PRC and international companies on corporate matters including M&As, IPOs, restructurings, financings, privatisations, regulatory investigations and compliance matters.

Cadwalader established its Hong Kong office in 2010, and operates in Hong Kong in association with local firm Joseph P.C. Lee & Associates.
