Dentons has hired five new partners in Shanghai, namely Wang Shanliang, Liu Feng, Dong Yueying, Hu Hongwei and Hu Min, with the first two joining as senior partners.

Finance specialist Wang joined from Tiantai Law Firm, IP and litigation partner Liu and TMT expert Dong both arrived from Shenda Law Firm.

Meanwhile Hu Hongwei, an M&A partner, was hired from HHP Attoneys-at-Law, and TMT expert Hu Min joined from Shanghai Donghong Law Firm.

Dentons — formerly known as Dacheng Law Offices in China — categorizes its partners into three levels — senior partners, secondary partners and junior partners — as a way of differentiating its vast number of partners in the country.

Dentons’ Shanghai office is the firm’s second-largest office in China following Beijing. It now has 159 partners, 66 of whom are senior partners.
