A Shanghai-based China labour law team of four, formerly with Salans, has moved to Eversheds.

The team is led by Iris Duchetsmann, previously an of counsel and head of Salans’ China labour law practice team in Shanghai, who is slated to become a partner at Eversheds. Joining her are associates Cynthia Zheng, Weihuan Xu and Lixia Li.

A labour law specialist, Duchetsmann focuses on cross border employment and international HR management. Her clients include leading companies from the financial services, chemicals, automotive, and education sectors. She also provides advice on matters such as residency, tax and social security.

“Iris’ experience will greatly complement our current accomplished employment offering, and build upon and diversify our already strong client base,” said Jean-Marc Deschandol, senior office partner at Eversheds’ Shanghai office. “Our aim is always to deliver our clients integrated expert advice of a quality that is second to none.”

Duchetsmann was trained in Germany before moving to China.
