Foley & Lardner LLP has recruited Tad Ferris from Holland & Knight as a partner and co-chair of Foley’s Greater China regulatory practice in the Washington, D.C. office. He will participate in the Foley’s Legal Innovation Hub® for NextGen Manufacturers which will focus on global sustainable manufacturing issues.

Ferris has two decades of experience in regulatory and government affairs of global markets, especially in China and other developing economies. Before joining Foley, Ferris was with Holland & Knight since 2004 and was head of the firm’s China team.

Ferris has also provided legal advice to various United Nations organisations, banks and foreign government institutions. He is now a co-chair of the China committee of the United States Council for International Business (USCIB), as well as chair of the USCIB China-Environment Task Force.

The U.S.-headquartered law firm currently has around 900 attorneys in 20 offices, and has offices in Shanghai and Tokyo in Asia.
