Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer has hired Hazel Yin as the co-head of its China competition practice in Beijing from King & Wood Mallesons, where she was a partner in the antitrust department.
Yin advises multinational and Chinese clients on inbound and outbound merger control, regulatory investigations and antitrust risk and compliance, and is experienced in dealing with filings in the hi-tech industry. Freshfields says that she is also one of the few lawyers who have handled national security review cases in different industries and acquired clearances with success.
“Hazel’s arrival is an exciting and timely addition to the leading competition team we have assembled across Asia. I am confident that she will be a perfect fit with Ninette Dodoo, the other co-head of our practice in China.” said Alastair Mordaunt, co-head of the firm’s competition practice in Asia.
Before joining KWM in 2004, Yin worked with Crowell & Moring in Washington D.C.
