K&L Gates has hired Virginia Tam as a corporate partner at its Hong Kong office, along with dispute resolution specialist Sacha Cheong and IP expert Soheui Choe as counsel at its Hong Kong and Seoul offices respectively.
Previously a partner at White & Case in Hong Kong, Tam focuses on M&As, private equity, pre-IPO investments, and IPOs in the U.S. and Hong Kong.
Cheong joins K&L Gates from Clifford Chance, where he was a senior associate. His dispute resolution expertise spans from commercial issues and white-collar crime to construction, infrastructure and employment matters.
Choe joins the firm’s newly established Seoul office from Samsung Electronics. A U.S.-qualified patent lawyer, she focuses on IP portfolio management, due diligence, litigation, and technology transactions.
In March this year, K&L Gates expanded its Hong Kong office with the hires of partners David Johnson and Samuel Ngo.
