Morrison & Foerster has hired capital markets specialist Kenji Taneda as a partner at its Tokyo office.
Previously a special counsel at Sullivan & Cromwell’s in Tokyo, Taneda has played a part in several significant deals in the past year, including Japan Airlines’ $8.5 billion IPO on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, and Takeda Pharmaceuticals’ $3 billion debt offering.
In addition to representing both issuers and underwriters on debt and equity capital markets transactions, Taneda also advises clients on public and private M&A matters.
