Reed Smith has opened its third office in Asia with its Shanghai launch, earlier this month.
The firm’s new office will be led by Jay Yan, who was formerly head of Dorsey & Whitney’s Shanghai office. Yan, a New York-licensed lawyer fluent in Mandarin, has worked in Shanghai for 15 years. Joining him will be Zack Dong, a counsel from Reed Smith’s Beijing Office.
Yan specialises in advising international clients on cross-border investment, M&A transactions, debt restructuring, corporate financing, regulatory and compliance matters, litigation and foreign exchange control in China.
Reed Smith first entered China in 2008 through the acquisition of Richards Butler Hong Kong.ALB
