AnJie Law Firm has hired Jerry Xia as a partner in Shanghai from Honeywell, where he worked as deputy general counsel, and also chief intellectual property counsel, for the Asia-Pacific region.

Xia has more than 16 years of experience in intellectual property in China and the rest of the Asia-Pacific. His areas of focus include IP portfolio management, IP litigation, anti-counterfeiting and other enforcement, new product clearance, M&A, licensing and other IP transactions, regulatory compliance, general counseling and policy lobbying.  

Xia spent almost four years at Baker McKenzie in Hong Kong before joining Honeywell in 2007.  In the last seven years, he developed and led a 10-person team covering all IP matters across the APAC region. 

During his time at Honeywell, the company’s inventions in China increased tenfold and its patent applications increased fivefold. Honeywell has been included on the World’s Most Innovative Companies List for the seven consecutive years.  In addition, Xia has handled numerous successful IP lawsuits in China and Asia of which many won annual top ten of the year awards.

 “The arrival of Xia will further integrate our IP teams across the offices in Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen to better service the firm’s China and international IP clients,” the firm said in a statement.

在霍尼韦尔期间，夏锋律师的知识产权法务团队使霍尼韦尔在华生产的发明增加10倍且专利申请量翻了5翻，霍尔韦尔公司更连续七年入选“全球创新企业百强”榜单。多年来，他主导的知识产权诉讼案件多次获得法院或行业协会评选的全国、地方十佳案例或典型案例。
