White & Case has promoted Jonathan Olier, Nandakumar Ponniya and Alexander W. Woody to partnership in Asia as part of a total of 28 partner promotions worldwide.
While Olier and Ponniya are located in Singapore, Woody is based in Tokyo.
Olier specialises in cross border mergers and acquisitions, private equity buyouts and restructurings; Ponniya specialises in international arbitration with a focus on construction law; and Woody focuses on energy project development and financing, with expertise in the LNG sector.
“These promotions reflect the importance of Asia’s growth markets, both to our clients and to the firm,” said Barrye L. Wall, White & Case’s Asia regional section head, in a statement.
The 28 promotions worldwide become effective Jan. 1, 2013, and span eight of the firm’s global practices, including M&A, capital markets and disputes.
