Dr. Akhil Prasad is Director, Country Counsel India and Company Secretary with Boeing India and is based at New Delhi. Dr Prasad has also headed legal functions in India of Fidelity, The Walt Disney Company, General Motors, Electrolux and Xerox and has about over 25 years’ experience as an In-house Counsel.

Anupam Sharan

He is a senior attorney managing strategic legal, contractual and commercial programs globally for over $4 Billion spend per annum. Anupriya Garg
Head of Legal and Company Secretary, Transrail Lighting Limited

Anupriya Garg is Masters in Laws, MBA and Company Secretary with experience in corporate laws for more than 16 years. Currently she is working as the Head of Legal and Company Secretary in Transrail Lighting Limited an Indian MNC into tower manufacturing and Power and Transmission business. The Company is having its footprints in more than 39 countries.

Prior to this she has worked in Indian Government as Head Legal in Noida Metro Rail Corporation a JV of State government and Central Government with more than INR 10,000 crores project of 29.7 kms metro line and city bus service right from its inception and taking care of all their legal and corporate affairs matters and dealing with top bureaucrats . Bhumesh Verma

Bhumesh is the Managing Partner of Corp Comm Legal, an independent Indian law firm headquartered in New Delhi.

Divya Kumat

Divya Kumat is the EVP-Chief Legal Officer & Company Secretary at Datamatics for more than 15 years. She leads all legal and secretarial initiatives for more than 30  group companies in India and overseas and is a key player in all in-organic initiatives of the group like joint venture collaborations, mergers, acquisitions, and amalgamation in India and overseas. She is credited with formulating and enforcing several legally binding policies and frameworks including the Contract Management Policy, Insider Trading Policy, Whistle-Blower policy, and Investor Grievance policy, to name a few. Debolina Partap

Debolina is a Gold Medalist in masters of law and has 25 years of experience in banking, finance, pharma and healthcare. She is responsible for M&As, transactions management, IP and Litigation Management, legal compliance, all corporate legal work, properties and real estate management, amongst others. Garima Nahar

Garima is the General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at Eight Capital. Garima is a legal professional having over fifteen years of diverse experience in various banking and financial transactions. Prior to joining Eight Capital, she worked as the General Counsel at IIFL Finance. She was instrumental in setting up the legal team at IIFL focusing on NBFC business and strategy.

Garima was a Member on the ESG Committee of the Board of IIFL Finance and acted as Chief ESG Coordinator and Chief Anti Corruption Officer. Between the period of 1980 - 1995 he practiced as an Advocate in the High Court of Punjab and Haryana, Supreme Court of India and District Courts of Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh in various fields i.e. Civil, Criminal, Constitutional and Local Laws. 
He also Practiced on the Original Side before the Civil Courts, Criminal Courts, District Courts and Administrative Tribunals and various Vigilance and Departmental Inquiries.

• Selected as Additional District and Sessions Judge on 01.08.1995 and remained posted in different Districts in the State of Punjab, i.e. District Sangrur (from 1995 to 1998), District Moga (from 1998 to March 2001).
• Designated as Special Judge under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 and Terrorist and Disruptive Activities (Prevention) Act,1985

Parul Kashyap

Rajiv Choubey

Rohit Kumar

Rohit is the Global General Counsel of UPL Limited, one of the largest crop protection products company in the world with revenues of close to US$5 billion. He is based out of UPL’s corporate head office in Mumbai. Rohit leads a team of more than 40 in-house lawyers. Close to 50% of his team members are based outside of India, including 4 in the U.S.A., 5 in Europe and 5 in Brazil. Rohit overseeing all aspects of legal work relating to the group.

Dr. Sanjeev Gemawat

Dr. Sanjeev Gemawat is a General Counsel and Corporate Secretary; a thought leader and a strategist with business orientation. He is also a chartered secretary from UK, a chartered accountant and a cost & management accountant. 

Dr. Gemawat has almost three decades of experience spanning through varied industries. He is presently working as Executive Director – Legal and Group Company Secretary with Dalmia Bharat Group – a conglomerate that carries a legacy of over 75 years and having presence in cement, sugar, refractories and power businesses. Sheetal Sawhney Kapur

Sheetal is currently working with Netflix as the company’s Senior Counsel and Director-Legal. At Netflix, she is involved in lead business partnerships and transactions. Prior to joining Netflix, Sheetal was working at Google where she advised on structuring products for the Indian and West Asian markets. Her work involved dealing with privacy and data protection, regulatory liaisoning/licensing, M&A, FinTech & payments projects, geographic projects, telecom & broadcasting projects, and various other government-led initiatives. Sheetal moved to Google from PayU where she was working as Head - Legal, Regulatory and Compliance. She has also worked in the Private Equity and M&A team at J. Sagar Associates.

A Mumbai based legal professional & lawyer, presently working with TATA CHEMICALS LIIMITED (TCL) in the capacity of an Associate General Counsel. TCL is a part of the TATA GROUP, an Indian Conglomerate and has Strategic Business Units across the globe. She has headed the Legal Compliance of the Consumer Products’ Business of the Company and as a progression in the Career path, now, is responsible for and heads the Legal Compliance for the vertical of the entire Chemicals Business; she is responsible for Corporate Legal work, The Innovation Centre and manages the entire IPR portfolio of TCL.

Not only does she demonstrate Leadership in the Corporate Sector where functional expertise is desired along with her soft skills by leading teams, but she is also a people’s person where she is passionate about sharing my knowledge with the underprivileged. Over the past few years, she has managed to set her balance between work commitments and what she is most passionate about; volunteering and mentoring kids who need her the most; spending her time with them and listening to them. These are done through various NGOs, either by connecting with the NGO either by herself or through the platform that the Tata Group gives me through the programme called Proengage.

Leading a Corporate Sector to her means leading from the front, leading in a way that she is respected and treated as a leader, not only in what she does but also in what she demonstrates.

Shujath Bin Ali is currently working as General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer and leading the Global Legal & Compliance function of Global Private Equity firm KKR backed Ramky Enviro Engineers Limited.

Shujath Bin Ali served as  as Senior Director- Legal, Risk Management & Company Secretary and India Compliance Officer PAREXEL International –India. He was responsible for providing strategic corporate legal advice and operational legal support  for India Operations and was a member of PAREXEL India Leadership Team.
Before PAREXEL Shujath served as Senior Legal Counsel & Corporate Secretary for International Paper-India and was providing leadership oversight on Legal, Compliance & Corporate Governance matters. 

Prior to International Paper-India, Shujath served for 9 years as Associate Vice President-Legal & Corporate Secretary for Deloitte US-India offices and was heading the Legal & Corporate affairs function. He has overall 16 years’ experience in the areas of Governance, Compliance, Risk Management, Corporate & Commercial Laws, Employment laws & Litigation.

He worked in diverse industries like Pharma, Information Technology, and Professional Services & Manufacturing with an experience of 20 years and exposure to multi cultured work environment.

Sonal Sharma
Head of Legal – NBS India & NGSC Hyderabad – Novartis Healthcare Private Limited

Sonal is currently the Head of Legal for NBS India and NGSC Hyderabad Site operations. She is advising on their shared function legal matters and is part of NBS leadership in India. Prior to Novartis, Sonal worked with Atos as their General Counsel for Atos and its subsidiary companies in India and Deputy General Counsel for APAC.. She was responsible for overseeing Atos’ legal, corporate & commercial, compliance and litigation matters of various companies. Sonal has expertise in commercial laws, HR laws, corporate laws and managing complex forensic investigations related to compliances in India.  Sonal has also spearheaded many M&A transactions within Atos in India and has been instrumental in devising IP strategy for their key clients.  Her diverse areas of practice include structuring strategic business contracts, intellectual property rights (IPR), global compliance design and audits, legal due diligence, mergers and acquisitions, and arbitration & litigation management. Before joining Atos, Sonal headed the commercial contract portfolio in Persistent Systems and was responsible for their US, Europe & India geographies. Sonal have spearheaded the ISO 27001 process for legal department at Persistent Systems, which became the first legal department in India to be ISO certified.  Sonal is contributing with her professional experience since 19 years in field of law and compliance.  Sonal holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Science (Statistics and Economics, (University of Mumbai) and Law from India’s prestigious Government Law College (GLC), Mumbai. Sonal is also a winner of the General Counsel of the Year – Female Category, by IDEX Legal Awards 2016.

Vivek Sethia, carries a versatile experience of around 15 years in various sectors like Textiles, Pharma, Wind Energy, Real Estate, Steel, Shipping, EPC, Hospitality etc. He has been associated with global conglomerates like Essar, Suzlon, LANXESS and is currently heading the Legal & Company Secretarial Functions of the ABILGROUP in the capacity of Vice President, a leading name in real estate, hospitality and infrastructure sector, headquartered at Pune. He has advised and handled issues relating to acquisition of land worth more than Rs. 1500 crores, tax issues under various treaties for avoidance of double taxations, Income Tax and Customs litigations, FDI and Private Equity in real estate and infrastructure, retail and shipping. He has been into leadership roles since 2008 and played a key role in proposed IPO worth Rs. 400 crores in 2009 and has been part of one of the most successful LSE Listing action in 2010.
