On Mar 10 2017, King & Wood Mallesons (KWM) assisted Gome Electrical Appliances Holding Limited in completing the overseas issuance of US$ 400 million corporate bond, on behalf of the underwriter Barclays Bank p.l.c., with the interest rate fixed at 5.00% and the duration at three years. The bond will be traded on Singapore Exchange. 

KWM was engaged by Barclays as the Chinese legal advisor for the project. Its partners Song Ruiqiu and Liu Dongya were designated to be responsible for the project. The global legal advisor appointed by the underwriter is Latham & Watkins. 

The issuer, Gome, appointed Jingtian & Gongcheng as the Chinese legal advisor, and Sidley as the global legal advisor for the bond issuance. Clifford Chance acted as the legal advisor to the trustee, Bank of Communications International Trust.
