Squire Patton Boggs and Grandall Law Firm are acting for Chinese solar farm operator Xinyi Energy on its $465 million Hong Kong initial public offering (IPO), with Deacons and JunHe advising underwriters, and Milbank advising the sponsor and coordinators.
Xinyi Energy is the first green-energy dividend utility stock in Hong Kong. It owns and operates solar farm projects in Anhui, Henan, Hubei and Fujian provinces, and Tianjin Municipality.
China now has become the largest and fastest growing solar energy market in the world, and is expected to continue to lead the global market in terms of annual solar power installation and capital investment in solar farm projects between 2017 and 2020.
The Squire Patton Boggs team was led by partners Francis Li and Wendy Fong, while the Grandall team was led by partners Junji Ni, Xiaochun Chen and Cheng Cai.
The Deacons team was led by partners Ronny Chow and Maynard Leung, while the JunHe team was led by partner Yi Wang.
The Milbank team was led by global capital markets partner David Kuo.
