White & Case has represented Suzhou Dongshan Precision Manufacturing (DSBJ), one of the world’s biggest suppliers of precision sheet metal components, on its $610 million purchase of U.S.-based circuit maker Multi-Fineline Electronix (MFlex), which tapped DLA Piper for legal advice.
The deal, which is expected to close in the third quarter of fiscal 2016, is subject to approval from stockholders of both companies as well as review and clearance from U.S. and Chinese regulators.
New York-based partner Chang-Do Gong and Hong Kong-based partner Peggy Wang oversaw the acquisition for White & Case.
After the transaction, MFlex will retain its headquarters in Irvine, California, as an independent business unit of DSBJ, which has been listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange since 2010.
MFlex’s products are used in a variety of electronic devices, including smartphones, tablets, and portable bar code scanners.
