Rasamala Aritonang, Head of Regulatory Affairs Division, Corruption Eradication Commission

Mr. Rasamala Aritonang is the Head of Regulatory Affairs Division at the Corruption Eradication Commission (CEC). He graduated from Udayana University (Bachelor of Laws) and University of Indonesia (Master of Laws). He actively participated in the research and drafting team of the Supreme Court Regulation Number 13 of 2016 regarding the Procedures for Corporate Crimes Handling. He is also a member of the CEC’s research and drafting team of the Indonesian Penal Code Revision and the Anticorruption Act Revision. 

 

 Rizal Ramadhani, Head of Legal Department, Indonesia Financial Service Authority (OJK)

Mr. Rizal Ramadhani is the Head of Legal Department at The Financial Services Authority (OJK). He graduated from Gadjah Mada University (Bachelor of Laws), Amsterdam Law School (Master of Laws), and Pelita Harapan University (Doctor of Laws). Mr Rizal Ramadhani is a lecturer at Indonesia National University for Master of Laws Program and visiting lecturer at Pancasila University. During his careers in Bank Indonesia, Lembaga Penjamin Simpanan (Indonesia Deposit Insurance Corporation) and Otoritas Jasa Keuangan (Indonesia Financial Services Authority), he has handled wide range of issues such as bank activities, banking liberalization, bank restructuring, financial system stability, and banking frauds.

 

 

Randi Anwar, Director of Business Empowerment, Indonesia Investment Coordinating Board

Randi Anwar is the Director for Business Empowerment in Indonesia Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) since 2018. Prior to this position he was a Director of Supervision and Controlling Region II (2015-2018) and Director of International Business Cooperation (2013-2015). Mr. Randi Anwar also has extensive experience in trade and investment negotiation in the international forum. Currently under the Deputy Chairman of Investment Climate Development he also responsible in formulating investment policy to support the improvement of doing business in Indonesia.

Puspita Hendra Sari, Country Legal Counsel, 3M

Puspita Hendra Sari (Nita) is a Country Legal Counsel at 3M.  Prior to 3M, she worked in a pharmaceutical industry and a multi-industry conglomerate group in Indonesia. She provides business-minded legal supports on translating global business development transactions, trade, intellectual property, data privacy, consumer protection, employment, litigation and also regulation advocacies. Being an in-house counsel requires her to be pragmatic, be a commercially savvy legal business partner with good sense of business acumen.

Admitted in Indonesia (PERADI holder), prior to her journey as in-house counsel, she was a practicing lawyer in both Jakarta and Singapore, namely Ali Budiardjo Nugroho Reksodiputro, Lubis Ganie Surowidjo and Colin Ng & Partners. Nita earned her bachelor degree from University of Indonesia and master degree from National University of Singapore.

Sheetal Sandhu, Partner, Stephenson Harwood (Singapore) Alliance

Sheetal Sandhu is a corporate and commercial partner at Stephenson Harwood (Singapore) Alliance. Her practice focuses on private and public M&A transactions where she has advised on complex, high-profile and award winning M&A deals. Her wide range of expertise allows her to take a pragmatic approach in structuring transactions and assisting clients to achieve their commercial objectives. Sheetal also advises on joint ventures, general corporate and commercial matters, and her sector experience spans industries ranging from technology, food and beverage, fashion and retail, manufacturing, shipping, healthcare and hospitality.

In recent years, Sheetal has worked on complex deals across the region, with a specific expertise advising on transactions in Singapore, Indonesia, and Malaysia. She was involved in the S$13.1 billion competing takeover offer for Fraser and Neave, Limited, one of Southeast Asia's largest takeovers, which was awarded M&A Deal of the Year Awards by IFLR Asia.

 

Joel Shen, Foreign Counsel, Christian Teo & Partners

Joel Shen is a corporate lawyer based in Jakarta and Singapore. Joel is a foreign legal counsel with Christian Teo & Partners, where he heads the Technology and Growth Capital Practice Group. Christian Teo & Partners is the Indonesian associated office of international law firm Stephenson Harwood and a leading, full-service Indonesian law firm.

Joel has particular expertise in the technology, financial services, digital, media, marketing & communications, food & beverage and consumer sectors. Joel’s clients are household names, and include multinationals, technology majors, financial Institutions, Indonesian conglomerates, ecommerce unicorns, and some of the most prominent venture capital investors in Indonesia and the region.

Prior to his current role, Joel spent more than a decade in private legal practice in Singapore and English law firms. Joel is qualified as an advocate and solicitor in Singapore and as a solicitor in the UK, and is a foreign registered lawyer in Indonesia.

Joel is regularly listed as a Recommended Lawyer for Corporate M&A by trade publications, and has recently been recognised as a Rising Star, and the only non-Indonesian practitioner, in Asian Legal Business’ (“ALB”) inaugural listing of Rising Stars in Indonesia. Joel was also shortlisted as Young Lawyer of the Year at ALB’s 2018 Indonesian Legal Summit.

Outside of legal practice, Joel is a member of the governing council of the Singapore Chamber of Commerce in Indonesia, a faculty member of the Singapore Institute of Legal Education and tutor for the Advanced Corporate module of the Singapore bar course, as well as an adjunct lecturer at the Law and Business Faculties of the University of Indonesia, and Universitas Pelita Harapan.

 

James Choo, Partner, WongPartnership LLP

James Choo is a Partner in the Capital Markets and Indonesia Practices. He has been involved in numerous significant initial public offerings in Singapore including those of Ascott Residence Trust (ART); CapitaMalls Asia (CMA) and IHH Healthcare. James has also advised on a number of cross border listings including the listing of Avago Technologies on NASDAQ and the secondary listing of CMA in Hong Kong as well as secondary fund raising exercises by CapitaLand, Olam International, ART, Lippo Malls Indonesia Retail Trust and Mapletree Commercial Trust.

In Indonesia, James has acted for KKR Asia in its investment in PT Nippon Indosari Corpindo Tbk.; PT Global Digital Niaga, in its investment into Go-Jek and the controlling shareholders in the sale of their controlling stake in PT Fajar Surya Wisesa Tbk.

 

Fransisca, S.H. Partner, Makes & Partners Law Firm

Fransisca is a Partner at Makes & Partners. Her main areas of practice include Mergers and Acquisitions, Banking and Finance, Real Estate, and Restructuring.

Started her career in 1999, Fransisca was a junior associate of Bya and Chaidir Law Firm and was promoted as associate soon thereafter. In 2003, she joined PT Mobile-8 Telecom Tbk, a telecommunications service company, as its Corporate Legal Manager, and thereafter held the positions of Corporate Secretary in the company. After working in that company for more than 5 years, she then joined Makes & Partners Law Firm and became a Partner up to this day. 

Francisca’s body of work has been consistently recognized by peers and clients alike, as well as by legalease publications. Fransisca has recently been recommended as Leading Women Lawyer 2019 in the The A List by Asia Business Law Journal 2019 and Indonesia’s Top 100 Lawyers in The A List by Asia Business Law Journal 2018. Dr. Riyatno, S.H., LL.M., Head of Legal Centre, Indonesian Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM)

With a vast depth and breadth of experience in investment matter, Riyatno has been appointed the head of Legal Centre of BKPM for over 10 years. In this role, Riyatno leads the legal team in representing Chairman of BKPM on litigation process, both in domestic and international level, where the team achieves great results. He also deeply involved in the rule-making process of several significant regulations and international agreements on investment, among others, negative list investment, licensing policy, and international investment treaties. Beside his in-depth experiences in governmental sector, Riyatno is also actively teaches law students of some notable university in Indonesia on the topic of investment law. 

Prior to joining BKPM, Riyatno was worked in the President of Indonesia’s Cabinet Secretariat from 1993 to 2007, where he gained an extensive experience in the matters of public policy and administrative law. Riyatno obtained his law degree from Gadja Mada University in 1993 and master degree from Australian National University in 1998. Ultimately, Riyatno earned his doctoral degree from University of Indonesia in 2005.

Prawidha Murti, Partner, Oentoeng Suria & Partners in association with Ashurst 

Prawidha is admitted in Indonesia and is a qualified advocate, able to represent clients in Indonesian Courts, tribunals and both domestic and international arbitrations. During over a decade of practice, she has handled a range of high-profile commercial disputes in the Indonesian civil and bankruptcy courts and in arbitration for clients across a range of sectors, including telecommunication, media, oil and gas, TMT, and finance. Prawidha started her career at a prominent dispute resolution firm in Indonesia and was a partner in another well-established law firm in Indonesia prior to joining OSP.

 

Ahmad Irfan Arifin, S.H., LL.M., Partner,  Lubis Santosa & Maramis Law Firm

Ahmad Irfan Arifin is a Partner at Dispute Resolution Practice Group of Lubis, Santosa & Maramis. He graduated from Parahyangan Catholic University (LLB) in 2005 and obtained his master degree (LLM) from the Boalt Hall School of Law, University of California at Berkeley, USA in 2013, where he received an Award on Best Advocacy for Legal Research and Writing.

Ahmad Irfan Arifin specializes in commercial, criminal and administrative litigation arising from across a range of sectors including infrastructure/construction, natural resources, technology and manufacturing. He is also experienced in advising and representing clients before Arbitration such as Badan Arbitrase Nasional Indonesia (BANI), Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) and London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA). 

In February 2019 Ahmad Irfan Arifin won a Client Choice Award for Litigation Category in London and currently he is also listed as a contributor of the Indonesian chapter of the “Dispute Resolution Review”, an International legal guide issued by the Law Reviews, UK.

 

Immanuel A. Indrawan, Partner, Indrawan Darsyah Santoso

Immanuel A. Indrawan is a seasoned litigator and an arbitration counsel who oversees commercial dispute resolution practice at Indrawan Darsyah Santoso. His practice focuses on civil, corporate and commercial cases that typically arising from commercial agreements, transactions and other business-related issues.  

Immanuel has substantial experience in defending Indonesian and international clients at all levels of trial from the first instance to the top appellate litigation in cases involving debt recovery, insolvency, maritime and shipping, employment/industrial relations, insurance and other commercial and corporate contentious matters.

Immanuel is also a certified receiver for bankruptcy/administrator for suspension of payments and a registered foreign lawyer at the Singapore International Commercial Court (SICC).

 

Arif Pradana, General Counsel, PT Siemens Indonesia

Arif Pradana is 36 and has more than 14 year experience in merger and acquisition, general corporate, investment, and capital market. Arif completed his Bachelor of Law program at the University of Padjadjaran, Indonesia in 2005 and Masters of Law program at the University of Groningen, the Netherlands in 2011, both with honors (cum laude). Arif works at Siemens Indonesia since September 2017 as General Counsel and responsible for all legal matters of Siemens Indonesia. Prior to joining Siemens Indonesia, Arif worked at Sarana Menara Nusantara as VP Legal and Corporate Secretary and  practiced law for 4 years at Hadiputranto, Hadinoto, & Partners and a prominent notary office both in Jakarta, Indonesia. Aldi Pagaruyung, Indonesia & Vietnam Country Counsel, Asia Pacific - Japan Channel Counsel, HP Inc

Driving overall legal and compliance to the entire business and functions in Indonesia and Vietnam as Country Counsel and support other countries in the South East Asia & Korea (SEA-K) region. Additionally also serve as Channel Counsel for Asia Pacific - Japan (AP-J) which oversees channel governance, programs, processes, strategic initiatives & alliances.

Irwienda Diah Puspita, Legal Counsel, Coca-Cola Amatil Indonesia

Irwienda Diah Puspita joined Coca-Cola Amatil Indonesia in July 2016 as Legal Counsel. She has more than ten years of extensive experience as an in-house counsel in capital market, mining, fast-moving consumer goods industries, and notary office earlier in her career. In her current role she focuses on delivering results in compliance and good governance, as well as becoming business partner to achieve company goals. Before joining Coca-Cola Amatil Indonesia, Diah was the Head of Corporate Legal for a holding company engaging in coal trading business where she built the first legal team for the company, and previously she worked in the capital market industry with responsibility for legal and compliance. Diah holds a Bachelor of Law from Diponegoro University and Magister of Notarial Law from University of Indonesia. 

 

Monica Rosari, Legal & Compliance, PT Samsung Electronics Indonesia

Monica Rosari is a legal counsel at PT. Samsung Electronics Indonesia ("SEIN"). Her work focuses mainly on corporate and compliance matters. She supports the corporate's overall business management through contract review and legal consultation and minimize management risks by responding to legal disputes/law suits and government investigations.

Monica is currently the Han Maeum President in SEIN. (Han Maeum is developed to bridge communication between Management and employee). She is a graduate of the faculty of Law, Atma Jaya University, Jakarta, majoring in Business Law (SH., 2012).

 


Imelda Triana, General Counsel, British School Jakarta 

Imelda Triana Sahelangi is a general counsel and a member of the Board of Executives of the Yayasan British School Jakarta, holding the position of Secretary. She started her career as a legal professional by joining Hanafiah Ponggawa Bangun Law Firm (now Dentons – HPRP). She joined as a paralegal and later became an associate who specialized in corporate law, merger & acquisition and project finance fields.

Then, she has been an in-house counsel for various industries of companies. Prior to joining British School Jakarta, Imelda worked for PT Global Informasi Bermutu or known as Global TV (national television broadcasting company), PT Indika Energy Tbk (energy company), PT Asuransi Jiwa Sinansari Indonesia (life insurance company), PT First Media Tbk (telecommunication company), and  PT Easypay Indonesia National Payment System (financial technology company).

Imelda earned her bachelor degree in Law from the University of Indonesia in 1999.
