Ilya Sumono
Biography
Ilya Sumono is a founding partner of Nurjadin Sumono Mulyadi and Partners. He graduated from University of Indonesia with a degree in law in 1992. He specializes in corporate commercial, property and labor practices.
His general corporate/commercial works includes various works involving company acquisition, merger, the establishment of foreign/domestic investment company, establishment of local (non-investment facility) company, advising clients in various issues related to mining industry such as compulsory divestment for foreign investment mining company, prohibition to use contractor for mineral extraction by mining concession company. He also advises various oil and gas companies related to their operation in Indonesia on issues such as divestment of 10% participating interest to regional government companies, farming out/in among holders of participating interest, negotiating gas purchase agreement.
His labor practice involves in assisting various multinational companies in manpower matters, covering to day-to-day manpower advisory and compliance, industrial relationship disputes as well as assisting in dealing with labor unions, particularly strike issues.
Mr. Sumono also helps various clients in their real property matters, acquisitions and real property due diligence, assisting in acquisition of buildings and areas of land either private or state/regional government owned.
Mr. Sumono is a member of Indonesian Advocates Organization (Perhimpunan Advokat Indonesia – PERADI) and Indonesian Capital Market Legal Consultants Association (HKHPM), Indonesian Journalists Association and Indonesian Advocate Association.
