ALB is pleased to announce The Macallan will be the official Event Sponsor for the 11th annual ALB Hong Kong Law Awards 2012, marking the ninth successive year of this relationship.

The Macallan ALB Hong Kong Law Awards 2012 will be held on Friday, Sept. 7 at the Conrad Hong Kong. The Awards recognise the excellence of North Asia’s leading law firms, as well as the top deals and dealmakers of the year.

The evening will draw a number of high-profile legal luminaries, including Guest of Honour, Mr Gordon Jones, HKSI Hon Fellow, Former Registrar of Companies.

Winners will accept their awards on stage, and celebrate with over 450 of North Asia’s most influential solicitors, in-house counsel, investment bankers, judiciary, and CEOs.

The Awards’ 37 categories feature some new additions this year, including Innovative In-House Team of the Year and the Corporate Citizen and CSR Law Firm of the Year.

Baker & McKenzie and Linklaters have received a total of 18 nominations each, the most among law firms, while Goldman Sachs leads the in-house space with 10 nominations. King & Wood Mallesons has 15 nominations, with Clifford Chance and Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer receiving 14 each. Mayer Brown JSM is the most prominent regional firm at this year’s awards with 12 nominations.
