Dacheng Law Offices, Asia’s largest law firm, has entered into a cooperative agreement with the UAE’s Hussain Lootah & Associates (HL&A) that is expected to give the Chinese firm a foothold in the GCC region.

The agreement is also expected to give HL&A’s Gulf clients easier access to China, as trade between that country and the Middle East grows every year.

“Hussain Lootah & Associates and Dacheng Law Offices have proven their mettle in servicing some of the world's most challenging and promising markets,” Ahmad Lootah, vice-chairman of HL&A, said in a statement. “By consolidating our capabilities and setting mutually beneficial goals, we offer our respective markets the highest levels of legal excellence that can help them achieve their organisational goals and protect their corporate interests."

“Hussain Lootah & Associates brings a wealth of experience and deep understanding of UAE and GCC Laws, which are crucial in this partnership,” said Xiao Jinquan, director of Dacheng Global Services Network, in the same statement. “Our combined expertise will greatly help both Chinese and Arab business enterprises, investors and entrepreneurs to better understand the opportunities and overcome the challenges as they expand in foreign markets.”

Apart from the UAE, Dacheng has a presence in France, Singapore, the U.S., Hong Kong and Taiwan, along with a number of offices across China.
