Duan & Duan has opened a new office in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan. This office is the firm’s fifth overseas branch, and its 25th overall.

The new office, led by Yu Qiu, has six lawyers at present. They include partner Yijia Zhang, who is licensed to practice in Russia, and an Uzbek lawyer, Djuraev Elbek Irkinovich. The firm plans to expand it by adding more lawyers and staff with proficiency in Uzbek or Russian. 

Duan & Duan’s Tashkent office will provide a combined service of legal, business and translation for Chinese investors in Uzbekistan and other parts in Central Asia, extending to the whole Russian-speaking region.  

The firms other four overseas offices are in Seattle, U.S., Nagoya, Japan, Phnom Penh, Cambodia and Madrid, Spain.

段和段在乌兹别克斯坦设立塔什干办公室

段和段律师事务所近期在乌兹别克斯坦首都塔什干设立办公室。该办公室是段和段全球第五个海外办公室，至此段和段全部办公室数量达至25家。

塔什干办公室目前共计6位律师，邱雨律师担任办公室主任。合伙人张佳亿律师及其团队现为塔什干办公室派驻律师。张佳亿律师拥有俄罗斯律师执照，精通俄语。此外，另有本地律师Djuraev Elbek Irkinovich（艾尔别克）。该办公室后期还将考虑在当地聘请精通乌语、俄语的律师及行政人员加入，继续扩大规模和完善服务。

段和段塔什干办公室将直接为中国公民和企业在乌兹别克斯坦及中亚其他国家乃至整个俄语区域的各种经济活动提供法律、商务和翻译等全方位服务。

目前，该所其他四处海外办公室分别在美国西雅图、日本名古屋、柬埔寨金边、以及西班牙马德里。
