Freshfields has launched a low carbon energy group in China. The launch, which coincides with China’s Energy Efficiency Week, positions the firm to capitalise on the nation’s growing low carbon economy.
The multi-disciplinary team, which will be led by Hong Kong IP and IT partner Connie Carnabuci, consists of Hong Kong counsel Robert Lonergan, Beijing corporate partner Melissa Thomas, Beijing anti-trust partner Michael Han and Shanghai senior associate Dr. Christian Zeppezauer.
In a statement, Carnabuci said, “Clean technology is the next industrial revolution… There is a growing demand from businesses to be more environmentally responsible and our team will enable them to do that.”
