Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer is representing Gluon Xima International on its plan to purchase a 60 percent stake in Hong Kong-listed SPG Land for nearly HK$3 billion ($386.6 million).

Hong Kong corporate partners Charles Ching and Edward Freeman are heading the Freshfields team.

Meanwhile, Kirkland & Ellis, led by corporate partner David Yun in Hong Kong, is advising SPG Land.

Gluon Xima International is an indirect, wholly owned subsidiary of Greenland Holding Group.

Greenland Holding Group is China’s second-largest real estate developer, and operates projects in more than 70 cities in the mainland.

SPG is expected to change its name to Greenland Hong Kong Holdings following the transaction.
