Spanish law firm Garrigues has opened its second office in China with a launch in Beijing.

Headed by partner Manuel Torres Salazar, the Beijing office follows the firm’s Shanghai outpost, which opened in 2005. These are the firm’s only offices in Asia.

The two offices, with more than 20 lawyers, “provide integral advisory services in relation to investments in China, covering all aspects. Similarly, Chinese clients who invest in any of the territories in which Garrigues is present have access to unparalleled legal advice, thanks to the Firm’s international office network and legal expertise,” the firm said in a release.

In China, Garrigues advises state-owned enterprises and private enterprises on investments in Europe and in Latin America, as well as on corporate law and commercial contracts, labor and employment law with particular emphasis on tax, intellectual property and pre-litigation matters.
