Guangzhou-based ETR Law Firm has opened in Beijing, the capital of China, establishing its 12th branch.
The Beijing branch, led by partner Tan Chuangxin, will focus on securities and capital markets, government and public affairs, bankruptcy and liquidation, finance, disposal of non-performing assets, family wealth management, criminal defence, litigation, and arbitration.
ETR is a rare law firm in Southern China with presence in Beijing. This represents a key step towards the firm’s overall strategy of covering all key cities in China, but also heralds a trend that regional law firms in the Greater Bay Area start expanding northward of China.
Currently, ETR has branches in Beijing, Wuhan, Shenzhen, Zhongshan, Dongguan, Qingyuan, Foshan, Zhuhai, Tokyo, etc., and has offices in Bangkok, Los Angeles, and Kuala Lumpur. The firm told ALB that it also plans to open offices in Shanghai, Nanjing, Hainan, Hong Kong, and Toronto.
