Kingpound Law Firm, one of the largest law firms in Guangzhou, has formed strategic alliance with Thailand’s law firm Kudun and Partners Co., Ltd, a significant step for King Pound to grasp the Belt & Road opportunities. 

Four representatives from Kudun and Partners gave a presentation on key issues in investing Thailand. Gang Li, director of Kingpound, introduced China’s international commercial arbitration under the Belt & Road Initiative and also the role of Chinese lawyers.

Kingpound also announced the opening of its third branch in the suburban district of Liwan after the branches in Huadu and Baiyun last October. 

Liwan district, dubbed “millennium commercial city”, is located in the west of Guangzhou and shares its western and southern borders with Foshan City. Its strategic position, viewed as the GBA gateway, will facilitate the firm’s capabilities to better service its clients in Guangzhou and Foshan. 

The Liwan office will focus on commercial legal services that will further integrate the firm’s legal network in Guangdong province. The firm also aims to cover the whole Pearl River Delta by providing one-shop-stop for commercial legal advisory. Offices in the city of Maoming and Zhongshan in Guangdong Province are under preparation.

The Liwan office is led by founding partners Yukan Zhang and Jun Li. Its headcounts will increase from 6 to 15 by the end of the year.

广州金鹏律师事务所与泰国Kudun and Partners Co., Ltd律师事务所正式签署战略合作协议，标志着金鹏在紧抓“一带一路”的新机遇方面踏出了重要的一步。

泰国Kudun and Partners Co., Ltd律师事务所四位代表在协议签署当天接下来的讲座中，分享了泰国投资要注意的事项和法律条款。广州金鹏律师事务所管委会主任李纲律师作了主题为“国际商事仲裁介绍及中国律师的作用”的分享。

继去年10月在花都、白云设立分所后，广州金鹏律师事务所近日又在荔湾设立新办公室。

广州市荔湾区，素有“三江汇聚，千年商都”之城称，位于广州市西部，其西边与南边临靠佛山市。荔湾区作为“粤港澳大湾区门户”的绝佳战略位置，将助力金鹏为广州、佛山两地客户提供更专注、高效、极致的法律服务。

荔湾新办公室将以商事法律事务为业务特色，其设立将进一步完善金鹏在广东法律市场的一体化布局。金鹏也将以广州总所为中心，逐步辐射至珠三角区域，消除地域性，打造一个提供“一站式”资源服务的商事平台。目前，茂名分所、中山分所也在筹备中。

荔湾分所的创始合伙人是张豫侃律师和李俊律师，目前人员总计6人，预计到年底将增至15人。
