Chinese maritime law experts gathered in Shanghai in November to discuss the hottest issues in the sector at the China Lawyers International Maritime Law Forum 2012.
The forum, hosted by leading Chinese firm Wintell & Co, featured more than 300 participates including maritime and shipping judges, representatives from shipping, logistics, insurance companies, P&I Clubs and insurance surveyors, and scholars as well as lawyers from across China and Asia Pacific and European countries.
The topics on the forum included legal issues in water pollution cases, the procedures in a maritime dispute, the legal issues concerning freight forwarding and the corporation of international and domestic law forms. The forum showcased some of the best known experts in the field of maritime. Among the special speakers were Sheng Leiming, Vice President of All-China Lawyers Association and President of Shanghai Lawyers Association and Fu Xiaoqiang, judge from the Supreme People’s Court.
