Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy has hired Li Chen to join its Beijing global corporate group as of counsel.
Chen has considerable experience in the Asian M&A and corporate market, particularly with cross-border transactions, IPOs and work involving telecommunications and aviation sectors. Her clients include multinational corporations, Chinese companies and government organisations.
Recent significant matters Chen advised include China Netcom Group Corporation’s US$1.31bn IPO; Siemens and Nokia’s China network business merger; China Aviation Industry Corporation’s acquisition of European aviation components manufacturer FACC; and China Mobile Communications Corporation’s acquisition of Pakistani telecommunications corporation Paktel.
Chen’s qualifications include a Master of Laws from the Dedman School of Law at the Southern Methodist University, and a Bachelor of Laws from Tsinghua University School of Law. She is also a member of the New York bar.
