Shanghai-headquartered Boss & Young has opened a new office in the city of Xi’an in Shaanxi Province, its sixth office till date.

The Xi’an office now has 14 lawyers. It will focus on real estate and construction, finance and securities, joint venture, merger & acquisition, bankruptcy, liquidation and reorganization, intellectual property, civil & commercial litigation and criminal defence.   

Xi’an is a key city in China’s Belt & Road Initiative (BRI). In 2016, China opened its sixth Circuit Court of the Supreme People’s Court there, and in 2018, the Supreme People’s Court of China launched the Second International Commercial Court of China in the city too.
