Shanghai-headquartered Hui Ye Law Firm has opened its 20th office in the southern Chinese city of Shenzhen.

The office has seven lawyers, including three partners and two senior counsels, and is led by senior partner Payne Huang. Huang, who joined Hui Ye from the Shenzhen office of Dentons in May 2019, specialises in asset-backed securities.

The new office demonstrates the rapid expansion of the firm, which had just 10 offices in early 2018. Hui Ye hopes the Shenzhen office, along with the existing Hong Kong branch, will be able to better serve clients within the Greater Bay Area. 

The Shenzhen office will focus on asset securitization, banking & finance, M&A, asset management, capital markets, corporate and commercial matters, dispute resolution, criminal compliance & defense, with a particular strength in innovative financing.
