Dechert welcomes Paul Weidong Wang as a corporate partner at its Beijing office. He joins from DeHeng Law Offices, where he was the head of its venture capital and private equity group.

Admitted to the New York State Bar, Wang works with clients on a range of private and public offerings, convertible securities and debt securities. He has strong experience in M&A and has led transactions across the healthcare, technology, education, energy, finance and real estate sectors.

Since 2002, Wang has been a visiting professor at BiMBA of China Center for Economic Research of Peking University.

Commenting on Wang’s arrival, the managing partner responsible for the development of the Asia practice of Dechert, Jingzhou Tao said: “I have known Paul for the last several years and he has a well-established private equity practice. Dechert's worldwide PE capacity will be well complemented by Paul's practice.”
